Hi & welcome to Dealusional! I’m Amy, a 30-something former marketing exec turned stay-at-home mom. I worked in corporate America for a number of years before having our daughter and making the decision to stay at home. Losing that one income was tough, but I tried to cut back and make things work.

Then, in 2001, my husband was out of work for over a year and a half. Our world was turned upside down. What do you do when you have a baby and no income? We dipped into savings, lived off credit cards and moved in with family while we both looked for jobs. Fortunately, my husband found another job after 18 months, but we had a lot of debt to payoff.

I decided that we needed to keep living frugally and within 6 months we had paid off over $20,000 in credit card debt. I became an advocate of finding online deals, so much so that friends and family started calling and emailing me asking me to start finding deals for them. I loved the thrill of the hunt, and finding the lowest price was always so rewarding.

In 2009, I decided to start a blog to share the great online deals that I find. I love helping others save money, and I hope you enjoy your visit!
